About Residio
Common questions about Residio — what it does, how it handles your data, and how to get access. Don't see your question? Email us at moolah@residio.io.
Q1. What is Residio?
Residio is a commission intelligence platform built specifically for independent Medicare insurance agents. We help you reconcile every carrier commission against every bank deposit, by policy number, so you know exactly which commissions have been paid, which are missing, and which are short. It's the work most agents don't have time to do manually — done automatically every time you upload a statement.
Q2. How does Residio actually work?
Three steps:
- Upload your carrier commission statements (CSV or Excel format) — Residio parses them into individual policy-level line items.
- Add your bank deposits — either manually as they hit your account, or by importing a CSV from your bank.
- Residio reconciles automatically — matching commissions to deposits by amount, and flagging anything that doesn't match.
The result is a clean view of what's been paid, what's pending, and what might be missing — so you can chase carriers for unpaid commissions instead of wondering whether you've been paid correctly.
Q3. Who is Residio for?
Residio is built for independent Medicare insurance agents — solo agents and small agencies who handle commission statements from multiple carriers each month. If you write Medigap, Medicare Advantage, Part D, or related products and find yourself losing track of which commissions you've actually been paid, Residio is for you.
If you've ever discovered a "missing" commission three months after the fact, or given up on tracking your statements because it's too tedious to maintain, you're our target user.
Carriers and data
Q4. Which carriers does Residio support today?
Residio has automatic import support for Ace/Chubb, Mutual of Omaha, and Humana today. We're actively adding more carriers based on agent demand — UnitedHealthcare/AARP, Aetna, Cigna/HealthSpring, Anthem, Manhattan Life, and Physicians Mutual are next in the queue.
If you'd like us to prioritize a specific carrier, email moolah@residio.io and we'll move it up the list.
Q5. What if my carrier isn't on the supported list?
You can still use Residio. You'll just enter those commissions manually (or via CSV upload) rather than getting them parsed automatically from a carrier statement. The reconciliation engine works the same way — matching commissions to deposits by amount — regardless of how the data got in.
That said, automatic import is dramatically faster than manual entry, so if your primary carrier isn't supported, email us at moolah@residio.io and we'll prioritize building that template. We're actively adding new carriers based on real agent demand.
Q6. Is my data secure?
Yes — and we've designed the product specifically to minimize what data we collect and to keep your data isolated from other agents.
Some specifics:
- Your data is stored on industry-standard cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit.
- Row-level security is enforced on every table — meaning Residio's own code can't accidentally show your data to another agent.
- We don't store bank account numbers, routing numbers, social security numbers, or any payment credentials. We only store the deposit amounts you choose to enter.
- We don't share, sell, or otherwise distribute your data to third parties.
For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
Q7. Do I have to connect my bank account?
No. Residio is designed to work without connecting to your bank account.
Most agents simply enter their deposits manually as they hit their checking account — it takes about 30 seconds per deposit. Or you can export a CSV from your bank and upload it.
We deliberately don't ask for direct bank credentials or use bank-aggregation services like Plaid right now. If automatic bank sync becomes something agents specifically want, we'll add it as an opt-in feature — but the manual flow will always be available for agents who prefer it.
Pricing, beta, and access
Q8. How much does Residio cost?
Residio is free during the private beta.
Pricing after beta will be $49.95/month or $399/year — annual works out to about $33/month and is the most cost-effective option. Agents who join the beta now lock in Founding Member pricing of $290/year for life — a thank-you for being early.
For most agents, recovering even one missed commission per year more than pays for the subscription.
Q9. Is Residio in beta? What happens after?
Yes — Residio is currently in private beta with a small group of working Medicare agents who are helping us validate the product against real commission data.
Beta is invite-only right now. Once we've validated the product with this group and added a few more carrier templates, we'll open broader access with the public pricing above. Agents who join during beta keep their Founding Member pricing forever — even after we move out of beta.
Data you enter during beta stays with you. Nothing gets wiped when we transition out of beta — your reconciliations, your carriers, your transactions all stay intact.
Q10. How do I get access to Residio?
Residio is currently invite-only. If you'd like to join the beta, email moolah@residio.io with a brief note about your agency and which carriers you write most. We're being deliberate about who we invite — we want agents who'll give honest feedback and who'll genuinely benefit from the product.
Once you're invited, you'll receive an email with a one-tap magic sign-in link. No password to remember, no setup hassle.
Q11. Can I cancel anytime? What happens to my data?
Yes — Residio is month-to-month or annual, your choice. There's no long-term contract.
To cancel, email moolah@residio.io and we'll take care of it. We'll help you export your commission history and reconciliations as a CSV first, so you have a complete record. After that, your account and associated data are removed from our systems. For full details on data handling, see our Privacy Policy.
Who's behind this
Q12. Who is behind Residio?
Residio was built by an independent Medicare insurance agent who lives this commission reconciliation problem personally — and got tired of the alternatives (mainly AgencyBloc's clunky commission module and the universal "I'll catch up on it later" spreadsheet).
The operating entity is disclosed in our Terms of Service. Our intent during beta is to stay narrowly focused on the commission reconciliation problem — we're not trying to be a CRM, an email marketing tool, or a general agency-management platform. Just Commission Intelligence, done well.
